Directions to CMRS

The Corona Model Railroad Society is located on the grounds of the Corona Heritage Park & Museum which is located at 510 W. Foothill Parkway, Corona, CA. The park’s entrance is marked by a large Corona Heritage Park sign visible from either direction. Our model railroad is located in the last house on the right at the end of the parking lot. Look for the 1:1 scale ore car and switch stand. We are open to the public Saturdays from 10 to 2. However, if traveling a long distance it is suggested you contact us beforehand to assure that one of our members will be on site.

The following are suggested routes. It is always a good idea to check local conditions and traffic.

From San Dimas, Pasadena, and Glendale areas: Take the 210 to the 57 and go south on the 57 for about 5 miles. At the 57/10/71 interchange take the 71 Corona Freeway (aka Chino Valley Freeway) for about 17 miles to Corona. The 71 will terminate at the 91. Go west on the 91 very briefly towards Long Beach/Orange County and exit immediately at Green River Road. Go left onto Green River and continue for about 7 miles. Note: At the Paseo Grande intersection Green River Road becomes Foothill Parkway. Stay straight on Foothill Parkway. After passing the traffic light at Highgrove the park’s entrance sign will be on the right in about a half mile. (If you get to Main Street you have gone too far.)

From Orange County and Long Beach areas: Take the 91 east to Green River Road, which is just over the Riverside Countyline. Go right on Green River Road and continue for 7 miles.    Note: At the Paseo Grande intersection Green River Road becomes Foothill Parkway. Stay straight on Foothill Parkway. After passing the traffic light at Highgrove the park’s entrance sign will be on the right in about a half mile. (If you get to Main Street you have gone too far.)

From Temecula, Lake Elsinore, and points south:  Take the 15 north to El Cerrito Road. Exit and go left. El Cerrito Road immediately becomes Foothill Parkway. Continue 3 miles on Foothill. Shortly after passing Main Street look for the park’s entrance sign on the left. (If you get to Highgrove you have gone too far.)

From Riverside and San Bernardino: Take the 91 towards Orange County/Long Beach. Shortly after the 15 interchange exit at Main Street in Corona and go left/south. Continue for 2.5 miles to Foothill Parkway. Turn right onto Foothill Parkway and the park’s entrance sign will be on the left in a quarter mile. (Note: An alternate route depending on traffic is to merge onto the 15 south from 91 and exit at El Cerrito. Then follow above directions from Temecula.)

From communities along I-15 north of Corona: Take the 15 south to El Cerrito Road and go right. El Cerrito immediately becomes Foothill Parkway. Continue for 3 miles. After passing Main Street the park’s entrance sign will be on the left. (If you get to Highgrove you have gone too far.)

Toll Road option: If coming from the Lake Forest area the 241 toll road to the 91 is an option. If you are unfamiliar with the use of the toll road go to their website at www.thetollroads.com
